Hi everyone! My name is Jimmy Blu and I’m the most snuggly, loving guy you’ll probably ever meet. Something you might not notice about me right away from my pictures is that I’m a tripawd, meaning I only have three legs, but that just makes me more awesome! I wasn’t doing so well at the shelter and my foster mom saw me on their website and asked if Save-A-Bull would help her save me. They found out I had gotten hit by a car awhile ago and I was in lots of pain so the best thing would be to turn me into a superhero tripawd! It’s only been a couple weeks with my new powers but I am all healed up and you would almost never know I wasn’t always this way.
One of the greatest things about me is that I love to give love. I love to snuggle and keep my foster mom and dad warm and give my foster family lots of kisses! I always want to be so close to my foster parents so they know I love them. I have beautiful hazel eyes, a handsome pouty lip, and great pittie smile! I am fully potty trained and I don’t like to bark very much, sometimes I do one alert howl to let my foster parents know if they should be worried.
I’ve been living life as a tripawd for a few months now and I’d say I’m doing fantastic! My shaved hair has pretty much all grown back, so you would almost never know I wasn’t always like this and I’m loving running around on the grass! I’ve been working on learning new tricks and I’m pretty good at “sit”, “stay”, and “drop” (with my toys). My foster mom and dad have also been teaching me how to play “gentle” and I’m doing a lot better, no one taught me that before so sometimes I get a little rough when I’m playing and I just need a little reminder to be gentle. I’m a VERY good listener and I’m working really hard at perfecting my commands, I’m just so excited to be in a real home! I still have trouble being all by myself, it makes me a little scared and sad, so I would like a family who wouldn’t need me to be by myself a lot. Being on only three legs, some things are a little more slippery for me to walk on, like hardwood floors, so I would do best in a home that has more carpeted areas than hardwood for me to walk on. :)
My foster family has three little humans that I love to give kisses to and play with, but sometimes I knock my littlest foster brother over when I get excited and think he’s another dog to play with, so kids over four years old might be better for me. I also have three doggo foster brothers and sisters but I’m still getting to know them on mini play dates. I needed some quiet time after being in the shelter for so long and then I had my surgery so I needed to get better first, but I’m excited to get to meet them more and I’m getting more confident in myself!
