Hi, I’m Whalen. I came from out of state with my siblings and am so happy to be here! I am enjoying the nice weather outside when I hang out in the fenced yard or out for a walk with my foster family. I am a very gentle fella and love playing with my foster siblings, they are really showing me the ropes on how to be a good boy. My foster parents call me Moomoo because of my cute spots. I have the prettiest brown eyes that will melt your heart, and my ears are soft as velvet. I keep hearing that I am quite handsome!
I am such a good boy in my kennel, especially at night. I am learning that during the day it is a safe place to relax and nap with my favorite toys. I am starting to like it there! My potty training is going well, I still haven’t figured out how to tell my foster parents I need to go out, but they let me out often and I know I am supposed to go potty outside. I am learning “place” which means I stay on my dog bed. I am great on walks too! I am the best boy, and I don’t pull on my leash. I sit patiently when it is mealtime, and we are working on my general manners, “sit”, “wait”, and “kennel” commands. My foster mom taught me that when my kennel door opens, I need to sit and wait for her to say it is okay for me to come out.
I live with two foster siblings: Ruth (3) and Murphy (8 months). Murphy is close to my age, and we have the best time playing together! We wrestle and chase each other around the yard and make silly noises. Ruth is also showing us the ropes on how to be the best dogs. I have not met any kids or cats yet, but I am gentle, and a bit shy but curious when meeting new people and dogs. When I meet new dogs I am pretty indifferent or submissive. It takes me about five seconds to want to curl up on a new human’s lap when I meet them! I LOVE TO SNUGGLE. At night the whole family likes to chill on the couch, and I make myself the best spot on top of all of the pillows or snuggle up with my foster parents. My foster parents would love to test me with kids and cats if that is something that is important to you.
My perfect home would be one with lots of snuggle time and also some activity. I love going for walks and exploring outside, and I also just want to be near my people. I am a chill pup, but I am still young and have energy for playing and activities. I will do well in a home by myself or with another dog to keep my company. I would love to meet you!
