My name is Soda Pop, and my foster parents say that in the morning I’m extra bubbly! I pop up and down and love to shake it all around! For the most part though, I am sweet as soda and could spend most of the day lounging around with you. Everyone I meet says I’m as cute as can be with my silky white fur and my black and brown spots. I came to Minnesota from New Mexico, where my mommy was found under an overpass with a handful of my siblings.
I’m pretty quiet and I’m only eight weeks old, but when I have to potty I signal my parents by walking around in a circle with my tail pointed straight in the air, sniffing the ground around me. Kennels are no problem for me! I love hanging out there and feel it’s a safe space for me to spend time. Give me my Kong or a chew toy, and I’m a happy camper. At night I sleep in my exercise pen, but I’ve been known to sleep in my kennel with no problem. You just have to remember I’m only eight weeks old, so I can’t hold my bladder for too long! My foster parents are teaching me to “sit” right now and I’m especially motivated by tasty treats and the chance to explore new smells outside. I’m a little too young for tricks, unless you count popping up and down and bouncing all around as a trick! I would love to take a training class someday – I really like spending time with others, and am a great follower. My biggest motivator is a chance to have fun outside, and tasty treats of course! I love hot dogs, cheese, peanut butter, and doggie treats. I especially love fish products and will go crazy for salmon. With my teeth just coming in, I love having something to tug on. I’m also just starting to fetch and I’ve got a feeling I’m going to get the hang of this thing any minute now!
I’ve met children of all ages and really love spending time with them. Cuddling and being held are my two favorite pastimes. I’m pretty tiny, so I haven’t met too many dogs smaller than me, but I’m a great follower of dogs bigger than me! At home I live with my foster parents, my brother Tator Tot, and the chief dog of the house, Vinny! Vinny is a 2-year-old poodle/terrier/chihuahua mix who loves doing tricks, is very obedient, loves playing fetch and is a strong leader. Good thing for me, as I’m such a shy little guy that I benefit from a good role model. If we are friends though I will want to climb all over you and kiss you!

Why are you the very best dog in the whole world?
People say I’m the best dog in the world because I’m cute as can be, with a wonderful calm temperament. I’m cuddly, I love napping the day away but also truly enjoy cuddling with humans and playing with other animals.
Give me a description of your dream forever family.
My dream family may have another medium size dog. I might have small children to grow up with or be a great companion to a special needs person or elderly person.
What general knowledge TV or movie character are you most like and why?
Olaf because I am a happy go lucky little guy.
What are some of your favorite toys?
I love my chew toys, rope toys, and stuffed animals!
Play all day or cuddles and snoozes?
Play all morning, snooze all day. Cuddle always.
What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?
It’s funny you ask – in the mornings when I wake up to greet my foster parents, that’s exactly what I do! My body wiggles, my tail wags harder than anything, and it’s like you shook up this can of soda pop!
What would your dream day consist of?
I can’t tell you how much I love cuddling! Have I mentioned I love napping? And playing outdoors with my friends and other animals? My dream day would consist of all of these things.
