Hi there – my name is Selma, but my foster mom calls me Selly. I’m a sweet, gentle soul who loves to snuggle and give the best hugs – you’ll never want to let go of me! I ventured to Minnesota from Texas with my sister who is now with another foster family. I started out a little timid (especially with the bitter cold), but I’ve been gaining confidence every day and figuring out that life is full of good things – especially belly rubs and cuddle time. I have the softest fur and a heart full of love to give!
I’ve been working hard on my training, and I already know “go to bed,” “heel,” “sit,” and “down”! I also understand when my foster parent tells me “no” (even if I sometimes wish I didn’t). I’m doing great with potty training and my kennel, and I really like having a routine. I’m motivated by affection and positive reinforcement – hearing that I’m a “good girl” makes my tail wag every time!
At the moment I live with my foster parents and their resident dog, who has been a great companion. I get along really well with him, and I even walk nicely on a leash when we’re together! I haven’t met any kids or cats yet, but I’m a gentle girl who just wants to feel safe and loved.
My perfect home would be with someone kind and loving who enjoys both adventure and cuddle time. I love to snuggle so if you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate pup to be your best friend, I can’t wait to meet you!
