Hi, my name is Dougal and I made the trek all the way from Texas. I am a black pup, but when you look close at me I have a lot of white sprinkled through my coat which makes me look like I rolled around in powdered sugar. Since I am from Texas I walk like a cowboy with bowed front legs almost like a bulldog, but man it makes me cute. I have no tail and the cutest butt on the block that wiggles when I am happy, which is all the time! I like to lay with my legs all stretched out like superman to show off my long lean frame.
I have been kennel training and not to toot my own horn, but I am so so good at it! I go to my kennel to eat and when my foster moms leave for work and at night. I sleep all through the night like a very good boy without making a peep until morning when I whine a little to say I have to go potty. I am getting pretty good at potty training also, I have only had a few accidents in the house. I really, really like food, and treats are a great motivation for me to learn tricks. So far I can “sit” and almost know “lay down”. I also go to my kennel with a verbal command only!
I have met all kinds of other dogs, cats, people and kids, and I am really good with everyone. I love to wrestle with the dogs at my foster's house but I am also good at playing by myself if they are too tired. They also have cats at my foster home and I am very respectful of them. If they let me sniff them I definitely will, but if they say not right now I will leave them alone. I have two foster human siblings also and I am great with the toddler but sometimes I lick the baby and jump on him because he smells so, so sweet. My foster moms say that I am one of the most snuggly foster babies they have ever had! I love to curl up on the couch or in bed and cuddle under the covers in the fall weather.
I would love a home where we can be active and then snuggle all night. I am great with other animals but I think I would also do very well as an only dog. I also love car rides so if you want a travel partner, I could be a copilot! Are you ready to meet me and my cute little wiggle butt?
