Hi, I'm Princess! My foster mom rescued me all the way from Luquillo, Puerto Rico. I was originally found on a beach by a family that couldn’t take care of me. In typical husky nature, I have lots of energy and love going on walks.
I am house and kennel trained! I am treadmill trained to help with that extra energy I may need to burn off. My foster mom is also teaching me “place” on a cot, “sit”, “down”, “stay” and “free”. I am VERY food motivated so I will master this in no time!
Although I get along with my foster siblings and the neighbor's dog, I can be dog selective and prefer dogs that have a more submissive nature. When I am playing with friends, I play rough and hard, so a dog with equal energy would be ideal, or a dog that will gladly just ignore me. 🙂 So, I will need a home that understands that I like slow intros with new fur friends.
I do have a bit of a prey drive as do most huskies and terriers, so I would do best in a home with no small dogs, cats or other critters that remind me of squirrels and rabbits.
I would love an active household with a fence, or parents that will keep me on leash and go on daily walks/runs. I love being outside, but am also a fan of laying on the couch or dog bed. I have met a few kids over the age of eight and I enjoy their company. Although I can be selective, my favorite dog to play with is 25 lbs, but I will absolutely need a slow introduction and do best with dogs my size or bigger that understand my play style.
My ideal day would be waking up, having some exercise, eating my breakfast in a puzzle toy, then snoozing the day away. I will need a walk in the evening and would love to lay next to you and watch TV in the evening. Could you be the perfect home for me? If so, I would love to meet you!
