Hello, I’m Poplar! I may be little, but I’ve got a whole lot of charm packed into this tiny puppy body. My foster mom says I’m incredibly smart, and I’m pretty proud of that. I’m also known for my signature move: when I get excited and want to play, I hop around like a little bunny. It’s impossible not to smile when you see it!
My story began in Texas, where my three siblings and I were found abandoned in a stairwell when we were only about five weeks old. Thankfully, some kind people stepped in to help, and we made the long trip to Minnesota for a fresh start. Now I’m searching for the one thing every puppy dreams about – a forever family to call my own.
For such a young pup, I’m already learning so much. My foster mom was amazed when I figured out how to use the doggie door, and I’ve only had a couple of accidents since arriving at my foster home. I’m working hard on all the puppy basics and doing my best to make everyone proud. I also know that sitting politely is the fastest way to earn a treat, so you can bet I’ve got that skill down!
I’m the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. One minute I’m racing around the yard on an important puppy adventure, sniffing every leaf and investigating every corner, and the next I’m curled up beside my people soaking up all the cuddles I can get. Tug-of-war with squeaky toys is one of my favorite games, and like most puppies, I’m a big fan of chewing while these puppy teeth are still around.
I currently live with a teenage human and a medium-sized Husky/Pit Bull mix who happens to be a Save-A-Bull alum. I absolutely adore my canine foster sibling and try my best to do everything they do. Sometimes I forget that my legs are a little shorter and my coordination is still a work in progress, but that just adds to my charm! I love meeting new dogs and greet them with plenty of wiggles and playful energy. When the fun is over, I’m happiest snuggled up with the resident dog or my foster parents.
My foster family describes me as curious, affectionate, gentle, and eager to learn. I’m the kind of puppy who wants to be part of whatever you’re doing, whether that’s playing outside, relaxing on the couch, or simply following you around to make sure I don’t miss anything important.
I’m looking for a family that understands puppies come with lots of energy, lots of learning, and even more love. If you’re ready for a sweet little sidekick who will keep you smiling with bunny hops, puppy kisses, and endless affection, I think we could be the perfect match.
