Hello, my name is Pogo! My siblings and I were all named after characters from the Umbrella Academy. My nine siblings, dog mom, and I drove all the way up to Minnesota from New Mexico just so we could find our forever families. How cool is that?! I’m not gonna lie, the drive was brutal, but when I got here some nice people cleaned us up and sent us to a fabulous home where we could stay until we were able to be split up. Once we were old enough, we all went off to our new foster homes in pairs. My brother and I scored a sweet house with two foster parents and three foster dog siblings to show us the ropes.
I am having so much fun at this house. I love playing with the big dogs. Well, by “play” I mean watch from a distance, approach slowly, and then pounce! When I first got here I was a little shy and wanted to hide under a chair or by my foster mommy. But It didn’t take long for me to warm up and show my feisty side! My foster mom says I am so curious and brave. I am always exploring and I like to do my own thing. But when it’s time to settle down, I love cuddling up with my brother and foster mommy for a nap.
As of now my brother and I are sleeping in a dog bed in a nice xpen. It’s a pretty sweet set up if you ask me! I love taking my naps in there and barely ever cry. I think I’ll have some separation anxiety from my bro when I leave and have a new sleeping arrangement, so I hope my family is patient with me while I adjust!
We are working on this potty training thing. The lady says I’m a quick learner! I even wait by the door sometimes when it’s time to go out. If we’re outside playing and she wants me to come in, I turn around and go back to the grass to do my business. My foster mom says this is a good sign and says that I am “so good at everything I do” but I don’t know what the heck she’s talking about. It’s going to take some time, but I know I will be good at this potty training thing with lots of practice and positive reinforcements!
If you’ve made it this far in my bio I am sure you can tell I am very mature for my age. Even my eyebrows make me look like an old man! But you have to remember I am just a baby. I do all the baby puppy things and am just trying to figure out what the heck is going on. I use my mouth a lot to play and I have very sharp puppy teeth. My foster mom is working with me on not biting but I think that this, and other puppy behaviors, will take time and consistency to learn.
I am so excited to meet my forever family! I would love to live with people who are willing to work with me on all kinds of training so that I can grow up to be the best dog I can be. I know my foster siblings have gone to some training classes and I think that sounds like so much fun! I would love a family who wants to cuddle with me, explore with me, take me on adventures, and nurture my spunky energy. Do you think that you want to adopt me and give me the best life?!
