Hi, I’m Petey! I have an adorable half-and-half mask face with soulful puppy eyes that are hard to resist. My ears are completely different too – one is covered in cute little polka dots, and the other looks like someone painted a perfect white stripe right through it. When I’m feeling playful, I bounce all over the place, and my humans get a big kick out of my zoomies. I recently made the trip here from Texas so I could find my forever home.
I’m still just a puppy, so I’m working hard on potty training and doing really well. I’m almost there! I’m also a total angel in my kennel. Most of the time I run right in when I hear “kennel,” especially because I know a tasty treat is waiting for me. I’m a pretty quiet guy in the mornings too. My foster family usually only knows I’m awake because they can see my tail wagging out from under my blanket. At night, I sleep in my kennel all snuggled up in fluffy blankets with a toy or two nearby. I especially love when my kennel gets covered with a blanket because it feels like I’m sleeping in my own little fort.
I’ve already learned “sit,” and I’m getting really good at “leave it” and “kennel.” Right now I’m also working on “drop it” and “shake.” I haven’t taken any training classes yet, but I think I’d love them, especially if they involve lots of praise, attention, and treats. Honestly, I’ll work my hardest for either one of those things.
I currently live with two human foster siblings, a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl, and I’m pretty sure we’re all equally obsessed with each other. I haven’t met any cats yet, but I absolutely love other dogs and assume they’ll love me right back. I also live with two Save-A-Bull alumni dogs who are helping teach me the ropes. Blanche is the wise older lady of the house at 9 years old, and Stanley is the younger guy at 5 years old who still loves to play like a puppy. I’m definitely more on the submissive side around them because they’re clearly much older and wiser than me.
When it’s time to play I’m all about stuffed animals, ropes, bones, and lots of running, tumbling, tackling, and puppy wrestling. And when playtime is over, I’m more than happy to show off my excellent snuggling skills.

I’ve got movie-star looks, soulful puppy eyes, and a bow tie collection that says “gentleman”, even if I still occasionally trip over my own feet. My favorite hobbies include making people laugh, following you everywhere like your tiny best friend, and looking at you like you personally hung the moon.
Give me a description of your dream forever family.
I’d be happiest with people who want a loyal little shadow by their side – whether we’re going for walks, hanging out in the yard, or just relaxing together at home. Bonus points if you tell me I’m handsome at least once a day, because I take my job as adorable companion very seriously.
Play all day or cuddles and snoozes?
I’m a curious, playful puppy who’d happily zoom around for a bit, then curl up for cuddles right after.
What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?
Reuniting with my humans, even after a short separation.
What would your dream day consist of?
My day would be filled with play and naps. I love a good blanket curled up with someone I love. Maybe an adventure or two.
