Hello, my name is Nike! My siblings and I were all named after shoes, and I got the name Nike because of my “swoosh” tail. My tail is just one of the cool things about me! My siblings and I drove all the way up to Minnesota from New Mexico just so we could find our forever families. How cool is that?! I’m not gonna lie, the drive was brutal – but when I got here some nice people cleaned me up and sent me to my foster home!

I am having so much fun at this house. There are two big dogs here that I love to play with. When I first saw them I didn’t skip a beat! I hopped right up to them to play and we have been inseparable ever since. When I see them I start to pounce like a little bunny because I am so excited to play. When I am not playing with my foster siblings, I’m hanging out with my foster mom. She tells me I am a sophisticated gentleman. I don’t know what she’s talking about, I’m easy! I just like to have my head and ears scratched on demand and I like to listen to some smooth Jazz at nap time. No big deal, you have Spotify right?!

The first night at my foster home was the first time I have ever been without my litter mates. I had some separation anxiety, but my foster mom is helping me learn how to be a confident independent boy. If it was up to me, I would be around my foster mom all day long! I love to follow her around, take naps with her, and make her play with me – even if she is in a meeting!

We are working on this potty training thing. The lady says I’m a quick learner! I even wait by the door sometimes when it’s time to go out, or I sniff around so she knows I need to potty. It’s going to take some time but I know I will be good at this potty training thing soon! The kennel is not my favorite. We’re working on learning that it is a happy place for me to relax. Someday it will be, but for now it just seems like some place I have to lay by myself so I am not a fan.

I am so excited to meet my forever family. I would love to live with people who are willing to work with me on all kinds of training so that I can grow up to be the best dog I can be! I know my foster siblings have gone to some training classes and I think that sounds like so much fun! I would love a family who wants to cuddle with me, lets me take naps with them, and sleep with them in bed. Do you think that you want to adopt me and give me the best life?! Come on, Just Do It!
