Hello everyone, my name is Neil. Once I warm up, I am like my namesake, Neil Armstrong and seek to go where no one else has gone before! I came up from the South with my brother and sister who are also with Save-A-Bull. When I first landed in rescue I was shy, but now my foster mom says I can accomplish anything as I have an adventurous spirit and only have one speed, as in full speed ahead! My foster mom sometimes calls me Snoopy due to my all white face and black lined ears and my habit of putting my nose into wherever it can fit. 🙂

I am kennel trained! The way I see it, my kennel is my safe space and I love to pack as many toys inside it with me to keep myself entertained. I am working on my potty training, which being on a schedule has helped to keep my accidents to a minimum. I am still new being in a home, so I am working on “sit”, which I still get confused about how my foster mom wants me to get a treat if I am not sitting in my kennel, but I am learning her ways and love treats. I have two modes on leash, freeze or wild stallion and will need a bit more time getting used to having something attached to me that prevents me from being free to blast off.

I am currently living with my foster mom, older brother and older dog sister. I have not met any smaller human kids, but I enjoy playing with the young adults who visit and love pets, attention, belly rubs and sitting on laps. I love playing with older dogs, especially the ones that still have time for puppy play. Tug-o-war is so fun when another dog is on the other end of a toy! Fetch is an awesome game, especially if I have a fellow fetching partner that challenges me to reach the toy faster.

My ideal home would be a home with another dog for me to learn how to be the best dog I can be, as I am shy and still learning what life is like in this big world. I would love for my forever home to be an active one, as I have a lot of energy once I warm up to a place and I love to play, run, and herd all my toys into one spot. I do have a slow mode as well and would love to have someone to cuddle with, as I like to be as close to my pack as possible which means no personal space can exist. 🙂 One of my favorite times is when we sit on the porch sun bathing or watching the sunrise with my foster mom’s arm around me. If you are looking for a shy, gentle and just all around lovable pup to join your family, look no further!
