Hi, my name is Ned and I am a special guy, inside and out! I have a really pretty fur coat – it looks black but in the sunshine, I am really brown. I have cute white marks on my toes. I have a grumpy expression on my face but I am a very happy boy! I have a lot of love to give to my forever family. Since living with my foster mom, I’ve been able to really come out of my shell. I am a very curious boy but sometimes the world scares me a little bit and I need to explore new things and people slowly.
Overall, I am well behaved and fully house trained. If I could sit next to my foster mom all day, I’d sure be in heaven. I’m a lucky guy because when she travels, I get a second family to watch and love on me. 🙂 I have grown to love them very much too! With new humans in my life, I need some slower and supervised intros because I get a little nervous. When I know you’re there to be my friend, I warm up and relax. I don’t live with any kids but my foster mom thinks I’d do just fine with those that are older.
I am good at commands and know “sit”, “kennel”, “stay”, “wait”, “no”, and “shake”! A couple of things I am working on is listening while in the yard (uhh, have you seen those things called squirrels!?), and my manners while taking walks. I get a little anxious when seeing strangers and am very, very interested in dogs. My mom says I can’t do this so I’m working on my walking and am getting pretty good at “heel”. I love walks so I hope my new forever home keeps working on this with me so I can continue to enjoy what I love most – being out in the world. After my walk, I keep watch out the window or sleep in my donut bed the rest of the day.
I am good in a kennel when I know my humans are close by and sleep in it all night without a peep. I don't love it when my humans leave me but after what feels like FOREVER (my foster mom says it’s only five minutes) I calm down and catch some Z’s.
Please know that I am so excited to meet my forever family! I need a little extra attention from my new family because I have some medicine needs. I have medication for my allergies and anxiety that is helping me so much!
What can I say, I’m a unique guy with quite the personality. I’m hoping my forever home can see me for the cuddle bug that I am and is confident to help me keep being the best version of myself. Once I warm up to you, a life of kisses and snuggles are coming your way!
