Hi there, I’m Mortimer! I’m 4 years old, a super-smart Pittie mix with striking blue eyes and a whole lot of personality. People tell me all the time how handsome I am, and honestly – they’re not wrong.
Let’s talk about my true love: toys! Squeaky toys, stuffy toys, any toy really. When I grab one, I do my signature butt wiggle – and if you tell me what a good boy I am, I wiggle even harder. Compliments fuel my happiness. It’s science.
I take my job as yard patrol very seriously. Dastardly bunnies beware! I love being outside in my fenced yard, soaking up the sun and keeping watch. I also enjoy walks, structure, and routine – and I’m a fantastic house dog. I’m fully potty trained, use a doggy door like a pro, and have never been one for accidents indoors. My people made sure I’m up-to-date on vaccines and vet care, and I’m a healthy guy.
I know my basic commands, love to please my humans, and I’m very proud to say I’m kennel-trained. My kennel is my safe space – when I need a little quiet time, I’ll happily tuck myself in for a nap or some decompression.
Now for the honest part: I really want to be your one and only. I don’t enjoy sharing attention with other dogs, and despite training and lots of effort, living with dog siblings has been stressful for me. I’m an anxious guy, and while medication and training have helped, my trainers and parents agree I’d truly thrive in a calmer home where I don’t have to compete or feel overwhelmed.
I’ve never shown aggression toward people – I love humans – but little kids make me nervous, so I’d do best with older, dog-savvy kids or adults. I haven’t lived with cats, and I have a strong prey drive, so a cat-free home is probably best.

My mom and dad love me very much and have worked so hard to give me every chance – training, boarding school, in-home support – all because they want me to have the life where I can finally relax and be myself.
I really am a good boy! I’ve got so much love, loyalty, and wiggle packed into me – I just need the right home to share it with.
