Howdy, I'm Monte and I came to Save-A-Bull with my brother from Texas. I'm a calm, reserved pup and love my people! They are teaching me there is so much the world has to offer, and things aren't so scary after all. When I get excited, I do this cute dance with my front legs and prance around, like the dancing dressage horses in the Olympics! My favorite place is right next to you on the couch, I give the best cuddles.
I'm a quick learner. I already know “sit” and “shake”. My potty training is going great! I don't have accidents in the house if I am let out regularly. I'm working on not going potty in my kennel, sometimes I can't hold it, but I am still just a puppy. I am quiet and just go to sleep otherwise. New places and loud sounds can be scary for me, but my foster parents are helping me work through it and my confidence is building every day.
I had a foster brother for a week (he got adopted!) and we loved each other. My foster parents think I would benefit from a home with another dog, but I'm pretty independent on my own too. I love to play, but sometimes I think siblings can be annoying and I just want to chill and lay with them on the couch. I've done well meeting new people and have a 10-year-old human sister that I love.
I would love a family that will be patient with me and help me build my confidence to overcome some of my puppy fears. Could this be you?
