I'm ready for my new family!

Missy

I'm Available

Hi, I’m Missy – but my friends call me Miss Independent. I’m three years old, 50 pounds of muscle, heart, and hustle, and if you’re looking for a dog who’s as loyal as I am lovely, keep reading. Let’s talk looks first – I’m a gorgeous fawn with ghost-blue brindle stripes that shimmer in the sun. I’ve been told I have a “resting bitch face,” and honestly? Guilty. But don’t let it fool you – I’m ALL heart. My whole body wiggles with happiness when I see my people. I’ll throw myself into you, full force, just to soak up your love.

I’ve got my basics down: “sit,” “lay,” “kennel,” and “bed” (place). I kennel like a pro at night and wait patiently for my food or release. I’m also learning how to wear a muzzle – not because I’m bad, but because it helps me explore the world safely and confidently. That’s what we all want, right? To feel safe and seen.

I’m a working dog, and I mean that with my whole heart. I need a job, structure, and someone who sees my potential. I’m built like an athlete and I’ve got the drive to match – maybe agility, maybe running, maybe just playing fetch and frisbee until we both flop in the grass. I'm game. Are you up for it?

I walk beautifully on a leash, I take treats like a lady, and I’m learning every single day. I’d thrive with someone who wants to keep building me up – someone who believes in partnership, not perfection.

Let’s be real: I’m not going to be your dog park socialite, that’s not my jam. But take me on a walk, a hike, a chill patio? I can thrive with the right setup and the right respect for my boundaries. I've been to a concert. I've done photo shoots. I'm kind of a big deal!

I’d prefer to be your one and only, but if you’re experienced and thoughtful, I might consider sharing my space with another dog – just not one who wants to boss me around. And as much as I love the spotlight in public, I need slow intros to new people inside the home. I’m not hard to love, just worth the effort.

Apartment living? I can do it, if it’s not too cramped and you’ve got your management game on point. Shared walls? No problem. Tiny stairwells or elevators full of dogs? Pass.

I spent the first few years of my life being an only dog, and honestly? I kinda liked it. I’m a one-human (or one-family) kinda gal who adores my people. I’m not perfect – but I’m real, I’m loyal, and I’m waiting for someone who sees the magic in a strong, smart, slightly misunderstood girl like me. Could this be you?
