Hi, I’m Marty! My big ears are my best attribute. I think they help me to be the good listener that I am. I also have a beautiful brindle coat that everyone seems to compliment me on. I love to cuddle with my foster family. My favorite sleeping position is on my back cuddled into someone’s arm while I open my mouth and snore. 🙂
I have only been in Minnesota for a short time, so I am still learning the potty training routine. I have been doing pretty darn good considering I am still a young pup and working on bladder control. I am not a fan of the kennel as I like to be in the mix of what everyone is doing. Nonetheless, I have been working on intervals of kennel training during the day. I generally cry for a bit at first but then I settle down. If it was up to me, I would sleep in bed with everyone! I am a very good sleeper and like to nestle into my foster brother or my foster mom. I do start the night in the human bed to get all my cuddles in. Then before my foster mom goes to sleep she moves me into my own little bed in the kennel. I am learning “sit”. My foster mom says I am very smart, so she thinks I’ll have it down in no time. I have also been practicing walking on a leash. I am not yet sure about the whole idea of it but I’m motivated by treats. I have learned to come when I am called. I am also a very good listener so if I hear “no” I stop whatever I am doing immediately. Also, I am the best copilot in the car as in I sit nicely on the seat and use the time to peacefully nap.
Right now, I live with a teenager but I don’t interact with her much since she’s usually busy doing her own thing. I also live with a resident foster cat who I am more closely aligned with size wise. I like to puppy play with him, but he is not into it. I also live with two other Save-A-Bull alumni. My foster brother is my favorite as he is a gentle, giant Pittie. I love to sleep, play with toys and follow him around. My foster sister can be a bit intimidating as she likes to use her herding skills on me when we play. Thankfully, I am very submissive so I roll over on my belly when it gets too intense and then I will give her appeasement kisses to let her know I understand she is the boss.

Why are you the very best dog in the whole world?
My foster mom and everyone I meet tell me I am the sweetest puppy in the whole world! I am very sensitive and never want to make anyone mad or disappointed with me. The amount of love I have in such a tiny body just naturally makes me pretty darn irresistible.
What would your dream day consist of?
I am an easy-going puppy so my dream day would be pretty simple. I’d like to start the day by waking up to give everyone morning kisses. Right now I am into napping, so I’d like to head outside to sit in my favorite chair (you may notice I’m in a lot in my pictures) and sit with someone as I watch the world go by in between naps. I’d follow this up by a little bit of play in between more naps and following my person(s) around as I am a bit of a velcro puppy. Then ending the day watching TV in the bed while being cuddled (and maybe, just maybe, being able to sleep in bed with them).
