Hi, I’m Maple! I’m a adorable little pup with a heart-shaped nose, a tan patch over my right eye, and cute cow spots scattered across my body. My foster family says I’m impossible not to smile at, and I tend to agree!
My story started in Texas, where my three siblings and I were found abandoned in a stairwell when we were only about five weeks old. Thankfully, we got a second chance and made the long journey to Minnesota. Now I’m on the hunt for the best thing ever – a forever family of my very own.
I’m a happy-go-lucky girl who approaches life with equal parts curiosity, confidence, and puppy enthusiasm. If there’s something new to see, sniff, investigate, or chew on, I’m ready for the challenge. I love zooming around the house with my stuffy toys and tennis balls, exploring the backyard in search of the perfect stick, and following my foster parents around to make sure I don’t miss out on anything important. My foster family especially loves the way I bounce happily from place to place, always ready for the next adventure.
Of course, I’m not all go-go-go. After a busy day of playing and exploring, I’m more than happy to curl up on the couch for some cuddles and relaxation. I’m affectionate, expressive, a little bit sassy, and always eager to share my love with the people around me.
Like any young puppy, I’m still working on the basics. I’m learning potty training and getting used to spending time in my kennel. I may voice my opinion for a few minutes when I first go in, but I settle down pretty quickly. After all, I’m used to having my siblings around, so learning independence is a brand-new skill for me. The good news is that I’m highly motivated by both treats and attention, which makes learning lots of fun.
My foster home is full of dogs of all ages and sizes. I currently live with an 11-year-old Havanese, an 8-year-old Hound mix, a 1-year-old Pittie, and an 11-month-old Lab/Bully mix. The older dogs are calm and laid-back, while the younger pups help keep things exciting. I haven’t started playing with the bigger dogs yet because I’m still pretty tiny, but I can’t wait until I’m big enough to join in. When I meet new people and dogs, I’m usually wiggly, friendly, and ready to make new friends. I’ve even met a toddler and a 15-year-old boy and did great with both!
My foster family says I’m an absolute delight to have around. They love my outgoing personality, my sweet cuddly nature, and the way I’ve confidently settled into a home with four dogs that are mostly much bigger than I am. They think I’m going to make an amazing addition to a lucky family someday. Personally, I think they’re right – and I can’t wait to find my forever home and prove it!
I’m looking for a family that understands puppies come with lots of energy, lots of learning, and lots of love. If you’re patient, consistent, and ready for plenty of laughs along the way, I think we’ll make the perfect team.🐾❤️
