Hi, my name is Maleficent and I am such a lovable girl. I am a beautiful cream color and have the most gorgeous green eyes you have ever seen! I made the long trip to Minnesota from New Mexico – part of the journey was by car, and the second part was in a private plane. I loved flying more than driving! Save-A-Bull’s partner in New Mexico said that my mom had a litter of puppies and they rehomed all of the puppies except for me. Before making the trip to MN, I lived in a foster home with many dogs, cats and small children. I am very happy to be in Minnesota now and find my forever home.

I am doing very well at potty training! My foster mom has me on a schedule and I have only had one accident in the house. Even for being a little gal, I seem to know that going potty outside is the thing to do. I cry for a few minutes when I first go into my kennel at night, but my foster mom lets me know that it’s alright and I settle down quickly and sleep like a baby. I have only been in my foster home for a short time, so life is a learning experience for me.

As I mentioned, in my previous foster home I was with small children and got along with them very well. In my current foster home, I live with a four-year-old female pittie, a two-year-old male pittie (both Save-A-Bull alumni) and two cats who are teaching me:

  • The kitties are teaching me how to respectfully approach and interact with them, and I mostly ignore them anyway.
  • I’m discovering all of my foster siblings toys which they let me play with – unless it’s one of their favorites!
  • I am getting settled into a routine of eating, playing, and napping (I REALLY like to nap!).
  • I can easily entertain myself when my foster siblings are away or napping. I am a very social girl! I especially like being with my people.
  • I often have humorous bursts of energy, leaping around and trying to engage anything moving near me, followed by a long, deep nap.

I am still learning lots of things about life and need a family who is willing to patiently teach me. I have so much love to give – could that family be you?
