Hi my name is Lutsen, but I like to go by Lu for short. I am a very good boy with a big personality. I am a pretty active dog, I love to play! But at the end of the day when I'm all tired out I'm a huge cuddle bug. Whether it be with my humans or the other dogs I live with, I just have to be curled up next to or on someone else.
I have been working really hard on my training since I've come to my foster home. I am a very smart pup who is eager to please! I listen really well and I'm great at following commands. I love learning new things in exchange for treats, I am very food motivated.
If you grab a bag of treats I will run right to my kennel and wait so patiently! I also am awesome in my kennel when my foster parents leave the house, I rest quietly and just wait for them to come home. I do like to let you know how much I've missed you when you get home, but I've been working on toning down that excitement. I sleep in my kennel some nights and do great. Other nights I get to sleep in bed and I love it! My foster parents say I'm a bed hog, but a great cuddler at night.
I am fully potty trained and have been for several months now. I've also mastered “sit” and “lay down”. At the moment I am learning how to “shake”. I also know my name and come when called. My foster parents say I'm really smart and an excellent learner!
In my foster home I'm living with two other dogs. I love playing and being around them. We play tug-of-war, wrestle, and chase each other around the yard. Sometimes I get a little carried away and I can push boundaries while playing, but I do listen to corrections from the other dogs and my foster parents. My foster parents say I could live with another dog, but it would be best if they were a confident dog who likes to play, and is good at setting boundaries and correcting.
I also live with a cat. I really like him, he is just like a small, fluffy puppy. We play together a lot, but sometimes I want to keep playing even when he's done. My foster parents have to remind me to be done and I walk away. It's hard for me to remember he's a cat and not a dog like me! My foster parents say I could live with dog savvy cats. My new family will also need to be committed to properly introduce us and work on setting and enforcing boundaries with me.
Besides treats and food, my favorite thing to do is play outside. I love to run zoomies and bunny hop around the yard. I also enjoy chasing toys around the yard. I'm crazy for snow! I love running in the snow and digging for toys. I am always ready to go for a walk – I've been doing well with leash training. If you love the outdoors, we would be great together!
I just turned a year old and had my first birthday! I'm just about done growing, so what you see is what you get. No unexpected surprises about my size with me! I am the perfect medium size dog. I am still small enough that I can be picked up and I love it. I love to be close to you so I can give the best kisses and hugs!
I'm very excited to meet my forever family. I've been waiting a few months now but I know it will be so worth the wait. I would be the perfect fit if you're looking for an energetic and active dog who loves to snuggle. If you think we would be a good match, I would love to meet you!
