Howdy Minnesota! My name is Lucky. Lucky for me I was rescued from the side of the road and brought to the big city. The first five months of my life in Texas were unpredictable. I watched cow pastures and cars whizz past me. I thought I would be a side of the road dog show until I died but a cowgirl found me and changed my luck forever!

The rodeo weighed me in at 47 pounds and I am around five months old. I have a short brown bridle and white coat with the darn cutest freckled spots (check out my photo). I have LONG legs and plan on growing very tall. They tell me my mom is a Great Dane or Great Mama Dame as I like to call her.

I am in potty and corral (city folks call it a kennel I guess) training. I don’t like going in my corral but am very motivated with treats. Once in the corral I settle in my bedroll for a good sleep. I am a rodeo champion at pottying outside. Fingers crossed my mom keeps letting me out frequently while I am learning. Apparently big city dogs need big city leashes. I don’t like them but I follow the rules and am learning not to run off for a good chase.

I live with two teenagers and one adult. I wrangle squirrels and chipmunks with two resident dogs in a big fenced in backyard. When our work is done for the day we play the usual cowboy ball game with those super CUTE squeaker balls. I take long naps after because we play so hard.

So  far everyone I have met in the city seems nice although peculiar. Sometimes loud voices and cars make me giddy up back to my foster mom. I settle right down with hugs and love.

I would love to find an active family that enjoys being outside. You must also love dog kisses and snuggles because all 47 and growing pounds of me want a lap to sit on. The hitch before the giddy up is to fill out the adoption paperwork and put my name at the top. Lucky with a Y. 🙂
