I've found my furever family!

Love

We're happy to tell you that Love has a new furever home.

Hello my name is Love, and that’s exactly what I am! I have the body of a bulldog with a pitbull head. Most people call me a “low-rider.” I have a pink nose and beautiful, soulful eyes (that I have learned to use to my advantage). I love everyone and get really excited when I first meet people. I want all of the attention and my entire body wiggles when I get excited!

I had a recent tough spell and was found abandoned on an apartment balcony after a domestic situation. I had at least one litter of puppies in my short life (probably more, my rescuers suspect I was used for making puppies). I was brought into Save-A-Bull and luckily I was able to be spayed a couple of days after I arrived. The vet discovered a terrible uterine infection and an unviable pregnancy. I am feeling great now and recuperated fast!

I am mostly potty trained! I have had a few accidents, but I am getting used to being indoors and out of my crate. I like my crate and patiently wait to be let out. I have had no accidents while I am in my crate! I currently sleep in my crate at night and have no issues with having to get up to go potty during the night. I am working really hard on getting my potty training perfected. I am also working on not being a line-backer when I get excited to see you. 🙂 I “sit” and I know “leave-it”. I would love to take some training classes with you – I would get the extra attention and I would love to impress everyone with new skills. My biggest motivators are treats, but a good belly rub works too!

I have met a couple of small children (under 3) and I was fine with them. However, I am also known as the “littlest linebacker,” so small kids may not be a great idea, as I might knock them over accidentally. I haven’t met any cats since being in my foster home, so I’m not sure how I would act around them. I currently have a doggie foster brother. He is picky about who he plays with, so we are doing slow introductions. I really like him, but I’m not sure if he is ready to be my friend yet. So far I have just taken walks with my foster brother, I’m still working on not pulling on my leash. I really do not play with many toys, I’m really not sure what I am supposed to do with them.

I am such a sweetheart! My foster family is not sure that I was ever part of a family, so I need to learn a few manners. I can get a bit pushy when I want attention and may throw in a “love-nibble” to get your attention. As I mentioned, I am still learning to be part of a family and everything is a bit confusing to me. But we are working on it, and I am making such good progress!

Some other fun facts about me:
Why are you the very best dog in the whole world?
I am very young and just need to learn to be a family pet. I am a smart girl and want to please my people. I love to cuddle, I am very loyal, gentle and loving.

Give me a description of your dream forever family.
I would love a family that has a lot of time to spend together. If you are at home, I want to be part of the activities.

What are some of your favorite toys?
I am not really sure what to do with toys. I have a Nylabone that I enjoy chewing on, but I get bored pretty easily.

Play all day or cuddles and snoozes?
Cuddles and snoozes for me, please!

What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?
Getting a belly rub is my favorite thing ever!!

What would your dream day consist of?
A nice, big breakfast followed by a good walk. Then I will be happy just hanging out with my family and being part of all the activities. Throw in a few belly rubs and treats, and you have the perfect day. I would love meet you!
