Hello, my name is Legend. I am an 80-pound brown brindle boy with a beautiful big head and big paws. I love people! I like to cuddle and have my neck rubbed, and then I’ll roll over so you can rub my belly. I get excited when it's time to go for a walk or go outside so I can put my nose to work sniffing everything.
I am potty and crate trained. I like my crate, as long as I’m not left in it for 8-10 hours everyday with nothing to do. This is happening more and more lately because my family is getting a divorce and they are not home as much. I’m really good at escaping if I’m left alone too long, I just want to be with my people. At night I sleep in my dog bed, or on the floor next to my family. I am leash trained, and do well on walks, but sometimes bicycles can scare me. I know how to “sit” and I know my name. I love bones and chew toys, and also know what not to chew. :) I would love to take a training class. I pick up things quickly, and am a very smart boy. Food is my biggest motivator!
I don’t really know how to catch – sometimes the kids in my house will throw things to me like a stick or a ball, and it usually bounces off my nose. When other dogs want to jump on me and play I usually just stand there. I like other dogs, I’m just not into wrestling with them. I get about two walks a day, and sometimes I get to go to the dog park, which I like – but I don’t wander too far away from my people.
I live with two 10-year-old boys, they’re really nice to me. I’ve met and stayed with cats, but I haven’t lived with them. I’m curious about cats, what’s the deal with them? I don’t live with any other dogs, but I have been around lots of different shapes and sizes of dogs at my cabin, and I get along with all dogs!

I’m so loyal and mellow! I listen to do what I am told. I love to cuddle and go for walks.
Give me a description of your dream forever family.
I don’t need much! My dream family takes me on walks twice a day and to the dog park a couple of times a week. They let me snuggle on the couch with them, and give me lots of ear rubs. Maybe they have another dog for me to hang out with. Hopefully they are around a lot, as I get very lonely being alone for long periods of time.
What general knowledge TV or movie character are you most like and why?
Ron Weasley, because I’m big and strong and loyal and not very complicated. Although Ron has more energy than me. :)
What are some of your favorite toys?
Bones and rawhide chews.
Play all day or cuddles and snoozes?
Definitely cuddles and snoozes!
What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?
Going for a walk, or getting a treat.
What would your dream day consist of?
Breakfast, a long walk at the dog park followed by a giant bone, a long nap, maybe a quick walk around the neighborhood, dinner, snuggling with my people on the couch and watching TV at night.
