My name is Izzie and I am an absolute joy of an animal. I am a little sneaky ninja and my foster mom finds one of her slippers outside in the backyard, slightly gummed about once a day, while she's preoccupied at her computer, working. I am not destructive, just your usual puppy looking for new things to chew on occasionally. I am a sweet, loving, friendly girl and get along with ALL dogs, big and small. I am a goof around my step-cats and my foster mom always tells me to go slower and not be so excited around the cats. They don't swat me ever so if I meet a cat that will give me a quick swat, I'll get the message quicker. But I'm a lover of all so it's tough to not rush at those cats when I'm excited. Sometimes my foster mom catches us playing in the yard so she trusts me and knows I'd never hurt them. Something to note, meal and toy time should be kept separate, keep working with me on this - I am very easily redirected and want to do the right thing.
My foster mom and I get along great and I am quite loyal and responsive. I am a little shy around men and loud voices scare me and I cower so please show me a lot of love and correct me gently. And I learn fast. I would love to continue training with my forever family and show off all my skills. Currently, I know the basics: sit, stay, come. How fun would it be to teach me all the tricks?!
My foster mom thinks I could be one of the sweetest little dogs she's ever fostered and thinks anyone would be incredibly lucky to have me!
A note from Save-A-Bull: Izzie has been treated for heartworm. She will be adopted with a vetting addendum as future heartworm testing will be required and those expenses will be covered by the rescue.
