Hi, I’m Indigo! I’m a very smart, quick learning puppy. My foster human has been teaching me all the basics like “sit,” “down,” and “high fives.” Not to brag, but the foster human says I’m the best at learning tricks out of all the other puppies they have had.
I’m an introvert so I like a slower introduction to new dogs, new humans and new situations. I am a medium energy level dog. The resident dog is a (very intense) two-year-old German Shepard. As long as I get enough “me time” with my own space I will play with her. For new situations/places it’s best to ease me in slowly and encourage me with redirection and treats.
I’m very food motivated and treats really grab my attention! One of my favorite things to do besides doing tricks for treats is to sniff around the yard. I can entertain myself for long periods of time out there investigating all the smells.
I’m working on being crate trained at bedtime and when the humans leave for work. I can almost make it all the way through the night, but don’t worry I wake you up to let you know to take me out if I have to go. I’m really getting the hang of this potty training thing too. My record for days without an accident in the house is getting better and better.
