Hello friends, I’m so glad to see you checking out the pups at Save-A-Bull!  I’m Holly, a beautiful brindle gal who found myself alone and out in the Minnesota cold this winter. Lucky for me (and maybe you…wink, wink) I was rescued and have been keeping warm while I dream of my forever home. My foster mom says I’m quite the catch – smart, athletic and loving – all rolled into one!

I’m an active and agile gal, I’ve been hopping around the snow drifts like a gazelle. My tennis ball catching skills are Olympic level and I love to play with toys and go on long walks. My foster mom thinks I’ve had some training in the past. I knew how to sit and wait for my dinner and pick up on commands quickly.

I currently live with a foster dog brother who has special medical needs. I really want to play with him more than he can, but am good about knowing his boundaries. I think I would enjoy a home with another dog or would be fine as a single dog with an active owner. I also live with a 13-year-old human boy, and get along well with him. I should be acclimated to smaller kids with close supervision, as I do sometimes jump on people when I’m very excited to see them. I haven’t spent time with a cat yet.

I am not destructive in the house and generally just nap during the day while my foster mom works from home. I do love it when she takes a break for some training time or makes a kong for me. I sleep in a kennel at night, but really enjoy any chance I get to snuggle with someone and get under the covers. I love making nests with blankies and pillows and think bean bag chairs are heavenly!

I am working on a few things – I can get some jumpy energy when I don’t know what to do. This might be when a stranger walks by closely or when my foster mom is walking me and she suddenly starts jogging (what the heck is going on lady, are we late, did you see a bear?!). I’ve already shown some big improvements with learning to keep calm and carry on. With consistent training I know I’ll be an excellent dog because I’m very smart and really enjoy pleasing my people.

What am I looking for in a forever home? Mostly love and security and a little bit of patience. I hope you play and cuddle with me, and continue my training so I can fulfill my destiny of being the best dog in America! With love and snuggles, Holly.
