Hello friends, I’m so glad to see you checking out the pups at Save-A-Bull! I’m Holly, a local gal who knows what’s what. While all the puppies on this site are really cute – with me you get cute, plus I’m potty trained, past the teenage stage and know how to do lots of stuff already. I’m smart, athletic and loving – all rolled into one!
My foster mom thinks I’ve had some good training in the past. I know how to sit and wait for my dinner and sit and wait at doors before going out. Sometimes I forget my manners but I redirect quickly with a verbal reminder. With consistent training I know I’ll be an excellent dog because I’m very smart and really enjoy pleasing my people.
I’m an active and agile gal, I’ve been hopping around the snow drifts like a gazelle. My tennis ball catching skills are Olympic level and I love to play with toys and other dogs. I love to snuggle up to my people, the closer the better. When I snuggle up, you’ll notice that my ears are like velvet. I bet you'll want to give them a few extra scratches every day. Oh, and my coat may look all brownish black in some photos but, it's actually a beautiful brindle. I shimmer in the sunshine!
I currently live with a foster dog brother who has special medical needs. I really like to play with him, but am good about knowing his boundaries. I also live with a 13-year-old human boy, and get along well with him. I should be acclimated to smaller kids with close supervision, as I do sometimes jump on people when I’m very excited to see them.
I am not destructive in the house and generally just nap or chew my own toys during the day while my foster mom works from home. My foster mom says I’m a wonderful house guest! I’m pretty good in a kennel if I need to be in there when people are around, or for shorter trips while my people are gone. If left in a kennel too long, I will start getting anxious and making escape plans – we’re working on this.
What am I looking for in a forever home? Mostly love and security and a little bit of patience. I can take a little while to warm up to new people, so please make sure I get some time and a safe space when your great aunt Edna comes to visit. I hope you play and cuddle with me, and continue my training so I can fulfill my destiny of being the best dog in America! With love and snuggles, Holly.
