Hello, my name is Henry! I am a mid-twenties pound Pitty from Texas. I have a beautiful chocolate coat with white markings, a beautiful mask, and medium to large paws. I’m still young enough to get puppy hiccups and have figured out how to play with my almost 4 and 5-year-old foster siblings and take their direction quite well. I came to Minnesota with my siblings after we were found in a box together, and am so happy to be in my foster home. My foster dad calls me Hen-WEE and whenever he does I come speeding his way!

I am a surprisingly calm puppy, and am working hard on my kennel training. I only cry in my kennel if I need to go potty or have had an accident. In terms of potty training my foster siblings have shown me that going to the door is the best way to show my foster dad it’s time for me to go out! I know “sit”, am working on “stay” and “lay down”. I also know that I have to wait for my foster dad to say “eat” before I can dig into my meal. I love both praise and food when it comes to my training and I’m a very patient puppy!

In my foster home, I live with my two adult doggie foster siblings and get along great with both of them. I love to play tug over a pizza toy with my foster sister, and wrestle with my foster brother. I’ve met all the neighbor kids and they LOVE me! When meeting other dogs I am prone to let out an excited bark to tell them hello. I respect their boundaries and take correction/redirection well when my puppy energy gets overwhelming to them.

My perfect home could be one with or without other dogs. I am just as comfortable zooming around as I am lying on the couch. My foster dad thinks that due to my mostly chill nature I would be an excellent candidate for an adopter that’s looking to adopt a dog that could pass a Canine Good Citizen test, or even be a therapy dog. I love walks, and an active lifestyle would be great for me especially if it were an only dog home. Right now playing with my foster siblings poops me out enough. 🙂 Whatever the case, at the end of the day you can find me curled up on the couch with my foster dad and sister. I would love to meet you!
