Hello, my name is Rose Lavelle. I am named after a National Women's Soccer League player. I have some of the same qualities as the Rose I am named after. She is known for her creativity on the ball and power to surprise. I love playing with balls and tug toys and surprising the resident dog I live with. 🙂

I am learning to walk nicely on a leash. I walk really close to you so you may have to watch your step so you don’t step on me. I am working on potty training and I am even starting to ring the bells on the door to go out. I sleep well in my crate as long as you cover it with a blanket, and I sleep most of the night. I am still a baby so I do get up sometimes to go out in the middle of the night. I also stay in my crate when my foster mom has to leave. She says it’s for my own good so I try to be a big girl about it.

I currently live with my foster mom, a resident dog Mr. Ted and a rabbit. My foster mom has lots of grandkids and I am so happy to play with them. My foster mom says I can’t be alone with them because the kids are too young and they might make a poor choice about how to play with me.

My foster mom is helping me learn lots of things, like walking on a leash, going outside to potty and how to sit to get attention. I love to learn new things like walking on weird surfaces, going through tunnels, playing a piano and many more.

I am a very special girI, you see I am deaf. This is really no big deal because most dogs learn best through body language so using hand signals works well once you get me to look at you. My foster mom just touches my butt and I look at her for directions. When I am too far away for her to touch my butt she stomps the floor and that gets my attention and I come running.

I have so much love to give, are you going to let me love you forever?
