Hello, my name is Elsie. I am super laid back – I love to sleep on the couch all day! I sleep with my head on a pillow like a human, and have decided that sometimes I like to pretend to be a lap dog. I am a bit of a chunk right now, but once I slim up I will be on the smaller side for a Pittie. I do snore, sorry! I also snort when I get excited, my foster says it is adorable! I was found as a stray and ended up at Animal Control. The good folks at Save-A-Bull took me in. I’m much happier now. :)
I am potty trained, I have never had an accident since being in my foster home. I will go into my kennel for a Kong with peanut butter, but I would much rather snooze on the couch. My foster works from home and I am not kenneled, as I just sleep most of the day. I sleep in my kennel at night, but I would be fine being left out to sleep on the couch or dog bed. I know how to “sit” for treats and am working on “touch”, “off”, “down”, and “drop it.” I’m so laid back – I don’t chew on my people’s things or try to steal food off the counter. I might like a class where I can work on leash training, as I like to pull at the moment. There are just so many things to see on my walks! I do have some issues with my fur and skin, which is taken care of with Apoquel, special food and TLC.

Why are you the very best dog in the whole world?
I am very laid back and easy to take care of! Most nights I have to get bribed with a treat to get up and go outside to go potty before bedtime. I don’t get into anything that belongs to my people, like shoes or food. I hold my potty like a good girl and don’t ever have accidents. I am just learning what it is like to snuggle, and I really like it!
Give me a description of your dream forever family.
My ideal family would let me snuggle on the couch and would have lots of pillows and blankies. I was a stray, so a warm place to snuggle makes me feel safe.
What are some of your favorite toys?
Balls! I love balls and chasing them. I don’t really like to give them back, but I will trade one ball for another one. I also like to destuff toys. :)
Play all day or cuddles and snoozes?
Cuddles and snoozes! I really like to chase balls, but I am a little chunky, and I get out of breath pretty quickly.
What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?
When my foster talks to me and tells me I am a good girl. I also really love car rides, if you say “Elsie do you want to go for a care ride?” I get more excited hearing that than anything else!
