Hi, my name is Dusty. I have a big head and big heart too! I am a very playful and quiet boy who doesn’t get why my foster siblings bark or chase after squirrels. I’m also content to snuggle up with my foster dad on the couch and nibble on a bone or take a well-deserved nap. I love getting pets from all humans and I sound like a little piggy when I’m content!
I am fully potty trained and when I go outside, I do very well at going potty right away. I am working on loving my kennel but just want to be out with my foster friends. At night I sleep in my kennel outside my foster dad’s bedroom. I have mastered “sit” and am working on “stay”, “place”, “come”, and “down”. My most valuable rewards are treats and a “good boy!” I am very eager to please and my foster dad loves my willingness to learn.
In my foster home I live with two dogs – a 3-year-old male Pitbull/Bulldog mix who is grumpy and I’m still learning to respect his space. I also live with a 3-year-old Pitbull/Rottweiler female mix who loves to play with me and I do so well when she corrects my play habits. I am still working on being in new environments and not letting overstimulation get the best of me. I would do best in a home with no kids under the age of 13, and with a confident dog or a no dog home with a confident dog savvy human. I’m also working on getting used to being on a leash and learning that it helps me see new places and smell new smells.
That being said, I would love to meet YOU and let you pet my big noggin!
