Hi there, my name is Dune. I am a part of the Desert litter. They called our litter this because I was left to fend for myself in the deserts of New Mexico. But don’t worry, I would never “desert” you! I am thankful to be rescued because I am affectionate and love being with humans. My foster dad cannot get enough of my cuddles! My cute white face and chubby wrinkles are here to melt your heart as well.
I am not yet potty trained but I am getting better each and every day. I stay in my kennel during the work day and sleep through the night with my foster dad. I am learning to “sit” and “stay”. I eat well too! I quite enjoy chewing on toys, bones, socks, hats, whatever I can get my mouth on. Just a heads up. 🙂
I am working on house manners daily. I need help with boundaries, as I like to be in your face a lot, and jumping on counters/people, but I am learning. This means I may not be ideal for small children as I’m high energy and jump a lot.
I have two doggo foster brothers who are 1 and 10 years old. Both are also Pitbulls. I have had my struggles with the older one as he doesn’t like to play as much, but I have a lot of fun with my younger sibling. I might do better in a house with another young dog or be a single pet. Older dogs just aren’t a good match for me, as they can be crabby.
I am a very good boy in search of a family that is looking for a playful, energetic pup who loves me as much as I will love them. Again, I feel I’d be the perfect match for a single home or a family without small kids. I am not mean by any means, but am really full of energy. I believe with patience and some training, I would be the perfect family dog. Look forward to meeting my new family!
