Hi there, my name is Dune and I am a part of the Desert litter. They called our litter this because I was left to fend for myself in the deserts of New Mexico. But don’t worry, I would never “desert” you! I am thankful to be rescued because I am affectionate and love being with humans. My cute white face, chubby wrinkles, and playful antics are here to melt your heart!

I am happy to say that I am potty trained, which is a huge plus! I am also mostly kennel trained. It might take me a while to calm down, because I really miss being with my people. But I am working on my self confidence, and I am much more calm when I’m kenneled by my doggie sibling. I know “sit,” and “off”. I am getting the hang of “stay,” but my excitement gets in the way sometimes. I am a dream on a leash! I hardly pull unless I get extremely excited. Speaking of excitement, I love to do flips when I’m happy. My foster mom says I have springs for legs – I could be an acrobat with some training! I also like to play with squeaky toys, they’re my favorite. But my absolute favorite thing to do is be with my people. If you’re a runner, I will run with you. If you like to snuggle all day, I’ll do that too. I just want to be your best friend and be with you!

I probably shouldn't be with kids under four, because I’m tall and jump when I get excited. But I’m great with older kids! When I’m at events, kids really love me, and I love them. I am good with all dogs – I love them so much! My resident doggie foster sister is picky about who she chooses to befriend, but I won her over and now we play for hours. I can be jumpy, so dogs that don’t like to “boxer wrestle” will get quickly crabby with this.

I am a very good boy in search of a family that is looking for a playful, energetic pup who also loves to cuddle. I get anxious when separated from my people, so I would love a family who is with me a lot. However, I believe with patience and some training, I can build my self confidence with being alone. My foster mom says I am the perfect family dog and everyone who meets me loves me. Looking forward to meeting you!
