Hey there! My name is Megan after the amazingly cool Megan Rapinoe! Which my foster momma says is quite fitting because there’s a ton of cool stuff about me. So, how about I tell ya some of it! First of all, I’m unique in all kinds of beautiful ways, from my multi-color coat to my ocean blue island colored eyes. My foster momma says anytime someone has looked at me they just fall in love.
However, there is so much more to love about me. Which includes my love of the outdoors and walking, my infectious curiosity, and my enthusiasm to learn. The best thing about my enthusiasm to learn is I do it a little differently because of another unique thing about me, I’m deaf! Although I don’t learn by hearing, I still learn and I do it by seeing and my rockstar sniffer. My foster momma’s neighbors have been blown away with how attentive I can be when I’m locked in and focused.
Other things about me are that I love a schedule and I’m doing very well with my routine. I haven’t had any accidents in the house and I know that the outdoors is my outhouse. Pottying outside isn’t always my favorite because I absolutely hate to be cold but I always get the job done! Right now I’m learning to respond to when my foster momma signs my name, “sit”, “good job”, and “no” (and I don’t get this sign a lot but I’m still learning my bed isn’t a toy, hehe). I also love to play and be held! For the most part I’ve adjusted to my kennel and do a good job sleeping through the night. I may whine here or there but then I’m right back to sleep. I don’t bark much but when I do it’s only because I’m trying to understand where you’re going.
I haven’t had time around cats or children but I’m super sweet and chill so it should be a great time if I have the opportunity. The few times I’ve interacted with my neighbor dog pals through the fence I did a pretty great job.
Training me will be really important but I love to learn so it’ll be a fun time for all of us, especially with the right resources. I’m ready to find my forever home! Could I be the new amazingly cool addition to your family? Because the kind of love I give lasts forever!
