Hi everyone! I’m Chocolate but people call me Chip for short. I guess because I’m small and sweet – just like a chocolate chip! I’m a confident and happy-go-lucky guy and I love to make new friends everywhere I go. When people see me, they always comment on how pretty my eyes are and say that I’m a very unique silvery blonde color.
Before coming to Save-A-Bull I was living outside in Oklahoma so I’m still learning what it means to be a house dog. However, I’m very treat motivated and pretty smart (if I do say so myself) so with a little consistency, I’m catching onto the rules very quickly. I tend to go with the flow and I’m good at matching your energy. Playtime? I’m ready! Time to relax? Sure, I’ll keep myself busy with my toys or settle in for a snooze. I’ve recently discovered these things called couches and let me tell you – they’re amazing! I love to sprawl out and sleep on my back with all four paws in the air. So comfy!
I’m working hard on my potty training and although it’s still a work in progress (I’m just a baby after all), I’m starting to get the hang of things. I’m also working on learning to love my crate. I sleep through the night in there without making a peep but I don’t really like being alone so when you leave the house, I do bark a bit. I’m starting to figure out that someone will always come back home and will settle after a few minutes. I walk nicely on leash and have a good start on some basic obedience skills like “sit” and “down”.
I currently live with two adult humans and a doggy foster sister but have lived with cats and kids in the past too! I’d make a great addition to almost any home. Could it be yours?!
