I'm ready for my new family!

Hi. I’m Charlie Bucket. Yes, that Charlie. And yes, I am a masterpiece.

I started my journey with Save-A-Bull as a tiny 8-week-old nugget, got adopted into a loving home, and have been someone’s whole heart ever since. Now at 3 years old, I’m coming back through absolutely no fault of my own. So here I am – 60 pounds of merle magnificence, big feelings, big energy, and an even bigger heart – looking for my next forever partner.

Let's Be Honest: I'm Not a Casual Dog!

I’m a partnership! I thrive with experienced, confident humans who love structure, routine, and training. If you enjoy watching a dog grow, learn self-control, and love you with his entire soul – I’m your guy.

Here’s what you should know about me:

• I am extremely high energy (daily walks and treadmill sessions? Yes please.)
• I am brilliantly food motivated (snacks = motivation)
• I’m fully potty trained (I can hold it up to 10 hours!)
• I’m kennel trained and do great when alone (I prefer a heavy-duty kennel — I love my bed)
• I know “sit”, “stay”, and walk nicely on leash
• I’m currently working on patience and self-control

I don’t have “bad” behavior – I just love at full volume. When I greet people, it’s full wiggle, full jump, full conversation mode. I talk. I bounce. I celebrate your existence like you just returned from war every single time you come home. I just need a leader who can channel all this joy into greatness.

Personality: Certified Giant Nutball!

• I sleep with all four legs in the air.
• I insist on holding your hand while you pet me.
• I will absolutely talk back to you in full conversations.
• I believe every animal outside is a potential best friend.
• My favorite hobby is being touched. At all times.

If I could speak human for 30 seconds, I’d say:  “I am basically a person, and I understand everything you’re saying.”

If you look into my (very handsome) eyes, what I’m really saying is:  “Please love me. Please touch me. Please play with me. Always.”

My Social Calendar

• I love people (may jump — enthusiasm is hard to contain)
• I love kids, but I don’t always realize I’m 60 pounds
• I live successfully with a female dog
• I’m playful and wiggly with new dogs
• No known prey drive
• I haven’t been tested with cats yet

I’m more goofy and submissive than dominant. I just get wildly excited about – well, everything.

Health Stuff (Nothing Dramatic)

I have seasonal allergies and a sensitive tummy. I get allergy shots in the summer and take daily over-the-counter allergy/skin support. It’s manageable and routine — just part of loving me.

Because here’s the thing – I don’t just cuddle,  I attach!  I drape myself over you like a weighted blanket with opinions.
