Hi there, my name is Brice and I’m so excited to be best friends! As you can see from my pictures, the last year of my life was rough. One day I was put in my kennel and the humans must have gotten lost, because I never really saw much of them after that. I patiently waited for my dinner, but it never came. I waited to be let outside for a potty break, but eventually I couldn’t wait anymore. With each passing day, I grew more sad, hungry, and my skin was sore from the poor conditions I was left in. I never gave up hope that someone would come to find me, but slowly my body was giving up, and I knew my days were limited. I laid curled up on the hard floor and leaned against the wired kennel that kept me caged, my stomach grumbled as I slowly closed my eyes. Suddenly, I heard a noise and opened my eyes to find that the door that never opened, opened up one day and in walked humans I have never seen before. Together, we walked away from my smelly kennel, I hopped in the car and watched as we drove away from that horrible place. These new humans promised me I would never be hungry again and that my new life was just beginning, and boy were they telling the truth!
Now I spend each day living life to the fullest! I love to play tug-of-war with my foster sister Lucy (she’s a 50-pound Pittie), chew on bones, find sticks in the yard, or run around discovering new smells and places. While these are all things I love, I’ve found that nothing beats spending time with my humans. I love to be by your side whether that means cuddling up for a movie night or going out to a brewery for the day. I just enjoy doing whatever you want to do.
Even though I like to play a lot, I quiet down easily. This comes in handy with my foster sister Lola – she’s a 5-pound Chihuahua who doesn’t like to play as hard or as much as I do. I know to settle down around her and to respect her space. While I have yet to meet cats, I figure they might be like my Chihuahua friend, and I mostly leave her alone, so a home with cats would not bother me.
I’m also quite a socialite, I enjoy saying hi to everyone possible and making new dog besties. I don't currently live with any kids, but when I go on walks I love to meet them! Sometimes, I get a little too excited and jump up (don’t worry I’m working on it), so I would probably do best in a home with older kids, just to be safe.
Not to brag, but I am really smart! I’m completely potty trained and I’m good at asking to go out when I need to. I’m still working on some manners, but to no surprise, I love treats so training comes easily.
Ultimately, I’m just a down to earth guy who would make a great adventure buddy. While I could go on and on about how great of a pup I am, I think I’ll just have to let you see for yourself! So, what do you say, will you help give my story a happy ending?
