Hi, I’m Bowie! I have spots like a little cow and a big giant head. I am a happy, snuggly fella and sometimes you can even catch me smiling. 🙂 I was found as a stray alone in the cold month of January in Saint Paul. I was very skinny and cold, but since I have come to Save-A-Bull I have gotten so big and strong! My rough start doesn’t keep me from being a sweet and silly little guy. I love to snuggle the humans and get all the belly rubs, and my favorite is when they play tug-o-war with me.
Potty training is going great! I don’t have any accidents in my kennel and know that I need to tell my foster family when I need to go outside, and I am also learning to tell them when I am out of my kennel too. Speaking of my kennel, I love it in there! I keep myself busy with my toys and napping and sleep through the whole night in there. Which is good since I need lots of rest, as I am trying to learn more basic commands and how to be the best dog I can be. I already know my name and how to “sit”! It has been too cold to go outside on walks, but I am learning this leash thing with my foster human inside.
I live with my foster mom and dad and two other dogs. Ruth is 2.5 years old and Charlie is 11.5 years old. I know to leave Charlie alone when he just wants to lounge, but I love playing with Ruth! We wrestle and run and I have the best time playing with her. I have not met any kids yet or cats, but I do love every adult human that I meet – I am not shy at all. I do have spurts of that high puppy energy; I just get so excited when it is time to play, but I calm down quickly when I need to.
My perfect home would be a home with equal play and couch time. Since my background is unknown, having another dog around to show me the ropes would be great. But I could also be the only dog and would love all the attention. I am brave, curious, and very food motivated and would love to meet you!
