Hi, my name is Bowdie and I am a handsome boy with a lot of love to give to my forever family! Since getting to live with my foster mom, I’ve been able to really come out of my shell. I am a very curious boy who is well behaved and fully house trained! If I could sit on my foster mom’s lap all day, I’d sure be in heaven. I love humans. I don’t live with any kids but spend time with them on the weekends. I have met kids 5+ and do great with them!
I am good at commands and know sit, kennel, lay down, stay, wait, no, and shake! I am a fast learner so my foster mom is just helping me perfect our leash walking and I’m learning how to catch some Z’s on car rides (which I love!)
Not to brag but I’m a pretty laid back guy which makes living with me so much fun. I do well in my kennel but love cuddles on the humans bed more. I do a little happy dance when I go in the house which makes my foster mom laugh out loud. Most days I enjoy sitting in the sun, playing with balls, sitting in the sun, and tug of war. I really really enjoy a good bone! I get to go to the lake house on the weekends where I love going in the water and letting my ears flop in the wind on boat rides. Some days my foster mom says it’s all about “self care” so I let her clean my ears, teeth, and clip my nails without a fuss. During the muddy months, I patiently wait as we wipes my paws and cleans me up before going into the house. Best part is when she gives me a good brushing—I love that! My foster mom says life with me sure is easy-peasy!
My best quality are the kisses I give, I sure have a lot of them and am looking forward to giving them away to my forever family.

Why are you the very best dog in the whole world?
A life with me gives you all the best things about having a furry life companion! I am still young at heart with a lot of curiosity! I love to smell and explore news things, inside and outside! I love playing fetch (minus the whole giving you the ball back he he) but playing tug with you will be my favorite activity. Being a seasoned vet, I am fully house broken so you know what the means! No chewing, no destruction, no jumping, no begging, no accidents! I am the total package :) I can hold my bladder a long time but will bark a couple times to let you know if I do need to be let out. I love routine and will often put myself to bed at night, waiting for you to come snuggle with me! Once I gain a little trust from you, I will never leave your side! I love the humans I’ve met since being at save a Bull and often try to kiss them all whenever I get the chance!!
What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?
I love walks so so so much! I understand my leash limits and even though I am a big guy, I rarely pull! My foster mom can manage by great build just fine :) Most of the time when I see other doggies on walks, and they don’t care about me, I don’t care about them! I also don’t let dogs barking behind a fence or window or bug me. Squirrels and bunnies, no problem for me. When my foster mom says “leave it” we just continue on our way. I get excited when I see some dogs on walks but my foster mom uses positive reinforcement to redirect me and I calm down and get back to the important tasks at hand, getting in all the smells and snacking on grass. I love it when the people I love are with me too. More than walkies even!
Give me a description of your dream forever family:
I am really looking for someone to show me unconditional love. I hope my forever family enjoys doggie kisses, lots of lap sitting, curled up cuteness, a forever companion as I go into my best years yet! I’d prefer a house where I can be the only pet and soak up all the attention! I do great with kids too but sometimes I forget I’m a bigger guy so slightly older kiddos would be perfect! I’d love it if my forever family keeps helping me be the best dog I can be by being patient as I open up, continue building on my great walking skills, and teaches me more tricks as I love learning!
