Hello, my name is Benny. The first thing that people notice about me are my ears and my eyes. I have the most beautiful green eyes! My huge ears are absolutely adorable, with super cute white tips with tiny brown freckles. They haven’t quite figured out if they will be floppy or gremliny or stand straight up! I have adorable brown cow-like spots and the sweetest face. My foster mom says she nearly cried the first time she saw me because I am JUST. THAT. CUTE.

I am super smart and attentive! I learned how to “sit” in less than 24 hours. I am always following my foster parents and Pittie sister around to make sure I don’t miss any action. I get so excited when it’s time to eat that I spin in circles. I make the silliest sounds when I want your attention. They kind of sound like a whistle and like I’m trying to fog up a mirror with my breath. I make silly grumble noises a lot and will let you know how I feel.

I am working on potty training and getting better every day! I mostly make it outside before I go, but my foster parents help me by noticing my signs that I need a potty break. As long as I go out right after eating and after a nap, I have done well. My foster parents know when I start sniffing the ground, it’s time to go out for a poo. I even have started touching my nose to the back door or whining to show them it’s time. I am pretty much kennel trained – I love my kennel! I even go into it on my own when I don’t need to be in there. My kennel is also where I sleep at night. I am working on “sit” and “come,” and I think I’ll be ready for more very soon. I’m learning that “crate” means to go to my bed. I’m listening when my foster parents say “no” or “off,” but I am still getting a hang of what they really mean. I am a super smart boy and eager to please my humans. I would LOVE to learn new things and would do well in a training class. I love treats the most, but praise and lots of pets after I do my business make me so happy, too!

In my foster home, I live with a 10-year-old Pittie. I really want to play with her and be around her all the time, but she likes to have her space. I am respectful of her, but I like her so much that I will keep trying to get her to play. Sometimes she does like to run around with me and I love it. I like to play chase with my foster sister and run all around the yard. I’m learning to fetch and return a ball!

Some other fun facts about me:
Why are you the very best dog in the whole world?
I am such a DOG! I fetch, play tug-of-war, love to run and chase, and love to snuggle up with my favorite humans when I’ve worn myself out. I am super attentive and eager to please. I think I would take well to training and love learning new things. I am friendly and excited to meet everyone, humans and dogs alike. I have the cutest face and am just so lovable, on top of all my other awesome characteristics.

What would your dream day consist of?
I get to spend the whole day rotating between running around and playing fetch outside, chewing on toys and playing tug indoors, and snuggling up on the couch for a snooze, especially if I’m snuggled up with my favorite humans.

What are some of your favorite toys?
Anything I can chew! Specifically, anything that is a rubbery material. I really love my “Project Hive Fetch Stick” and like to carry it around the house.

Play all day or cuddles and snoozes?
I really like to play WHILE cuddling. My favorite thing to do is chew on a toy while curled up in someone’s lap! I definitely need time to chew and play, as I have a lot of energy.

What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?
Attention! When my foster parents say I’m a “good boy,” I am so proud I can’t help but show it.

Give me a description of your dream forever family.
I think I could be a great dog for all sorts of families. I haven’t met kids yet, but I think I would like them (especially if they played with me a lot). I think I would like to have a sibling who is active and likes to play with me, but I would also do well as the only dog in a family to get lots of attention. I have so much potential! I would love a family who could devote time to helping me learn. I am eager to meet anyone! I would love to be part of an active family because I have a lot of energy, but I am such a good cuddler, too. Could this be you?
