Hi there I’m Bailey, affectionately called “Queen B”! I’m a fun-loving pup with soulful eyes, adorable brown stockings, and a long curling tail that wags like crazy when I hear my name or someone calls me a “good girl.” My favorite toys are the squeaky, crunchy ones – I’ll even toss them in the air to entertain myself! I also love chewing on bones and chasing tennis balls. I was rescued by a kind Save-A-Bull alumni when I found myself without a home, and now I’m learning how great life can be!
When it comes to training, I’m off to a good start! I’m potty trained and doing really well with my kennel training. I sleep in my kennel at night and can stay there for up to four hours during the day with supervision. Right now, I’m learning that when my foster people look at me and say “sit” and “come” it means they want me to do it. I am practicing my leash manners, too. I love learning because it means treats, toys, and belly rubs. I haven’t taken obedience classes yet, but I’d really enjoy them – I’m motivated by snacks, toys, and making my humans happy.
I live with two other dogs in my foster home – one is a five-year-old female cattle dog and the other is a 12-year-old male Chihuahua. I love going on brisk walks and playing chase with the dog closer to my size. As for the little guy – I find him fascinating, but I know to respect his boundaries when he tells me to back off. I try my best to be polite, but I am just a puppy! I initiate play with a bow or by *~*gently*~* bowling into the bigger dog to get the fun started. When I’m tired, I can lay quietly in the same room with them without being a bother. I haven’t met any kids or cats yet, but I’m very curious about squirrels and rabbits – if I see one, I’ll probably want to chase it.
I’d describe my dream forever family as active and loving. I’d do well as an only dog or as part of a pack. I hope my forever family will take me on lots of walks, help me learn more obedience, and maybe even give me a job! Whether we’re playing all day or snoozing after some fun, I’ll be your loyal shadow. If you’re looking for a companion with a mix of puppy exuberance and a preschool ice skater’s grace, I’m your girl.
