Hello, I'm Arroyo! I am a happy, easygoing puppy who loves to play hard and snuggle close. I’m very gentle and super friendly with everyone I meet. I’m a handsome dude with brown and white spots that my foster parents say make me look like a mini cow. I’m a little over 25 pounds, and I think I have pretty big paws, so I expect I’ll grow to be a good sized adult someday. If  you're looking for an adventure buddy and also a doggo to cozy up on the couch with, I'm your guy!

I love to be close to my foster parents and follow them around the house or sleep at their feet while they’re working. I live with two other big dogs (75 lb. female and 90 lb. male) and my foster parents. My whole body wiggles when my foster parents come home because I’m so excited to spend more time with my people.

I’m a really quiet puppy! I whine a little when I don't know where my people are, when I first go in my kennel, or when I need to go outside, but I hardly ever bark! I’m very curious and have an adventurous spirit, so I’d be game to join you for any fun activities you have planned. Even though I came from New Mexico, I enjoy playing around in the snow and climbing and sliding down big snow piles in the backyard!

I am a smart pup and I enjoy learning commands. I know “sit” and I’m working on “down”, “stay”, “let’s go”, “off”, “kennel”, and “come”. I love working for treats and also praise! I just started using a kennel, but I'm already becoming a pro. My foster siblings showed me the ropes, and I'm comfortable in my little safe space. I also sleep in my kennel in my foster parents’ bedroom at night. I’m still working on potty training, but I’m doing well with a consistent schedule and I know I'll get it soon! I love socks and collecting them from the floor, but my foster parents are helping me learn I should leave them instead.

My foster siblings say I'm really good with other dogs. We love to play together, go on walks, snuggle, and practice commands for tasty treats! I am respectful of their food and space, but sometimes I annoy them with my puppy energy and they let me know when I should back off. I love to play tug, wrestle, and chew on balls, bones, and other toys (especially if they have peanut butter or treats in them!). I’m really courageous and I love to roughhouse with my foster sister, even though I'm a third her size. I haven't met any cats yet, so a gradual introduction would probably be best. I also haven’t met any kids yet, but I’m so excited to meet new people, so I bet I would get along well with small humans too.

In my forever home I would love to have other dogs to play with, or dog friends to visit for playdates if I’m an only dog. My ideal day would include exploration, couch time, lots of playtime, and training practice to show you how well I can learn commands. I’d love to bring my sweet, loving puppy personality to your family, and I can’t wait to meet you!
