Hi, my name is Sonny. I am such a lovable boy! I am a beautiful grayish/blue color and have patches of white on my nose, chest and feet. The cutest thing about me though is my furrowed brow, which makes me look like I’m always deep in thought, when I’m really contemplating my next move. I made my way to Minnesota from New Mexico with my sister, Cher. Minnesota is a bit colder than the south, but I’m getting used to it.

I have only been in my foster home for a short time, so I’m not completely potty trained, but I’m working on it. My foster parents have me on a schedule and I do well with the structure. I am very comfortable in my kennel! I sleep in it quietly through the night, and when my foster parents have to leave for a while during the day, I don’t complain about having to spend time in my kennel. I am working on “sit”, “off,” and “come.” My foster parents are taking me for walks on the leash and I really like exploring the great outdoors.

I haven’t met any kids yet, but I’m small enough I’m sure we would get along just fine. In my foster home, I live with a four-year-old female pittie, a two-year-old male pittie (both Save-A-Bull alumni) and two cats who are teaching me:

  • The kitties are teaching me how to respectfully approach and interact with them. I love to chase them but I can take the hint when they don’t want to play.
  • I’m discovering all of my foster siblings toys which they let me play with – unless it’s one of their favorites.
  • I am getting settled into a routine of eat, play, nap.
  • I can easily entertain myself when my foster siblings are away or napping. I am a very social guy! I especially like being with my people.
  • I often have humorous bursts of energy, leaping around and trying to engage anything moving near me, followed by a long, deep nap.

I am still learning lots of things about life and need a family who is willing to patiently teach me. I have so much love to give – could that family be you?
