Hi there! I’m Gomez — professional snuggler, certified lover boy, and future best friend.
I made my big trip from Texas with my sisters at the beginning of April, and now I’m on the hunt for my forever home. If my name sounds familiar, it’s because I am a bit of a romantic. I specialize in cuddling, leaning dramatically into my humans, and gazing up at you with my big, soulful brown eyes like you’re the most important person in the world. My foster mom keeps mentioning something called “personal space" – but I’m pretty sure that’s just a suggestion, not a rule.
Snuggling is my superpower.
If you’re sitting, I’m melting into you. If you’re laying down, I’m curling up as close as physically possible. It’s kind of my thing.
I’m doing really well with my puppy skills, too! I sleep through the night in my kennel like a champ. I might give a tiny protest when I first go in (just a minute or two — gotta keep things dramatic), but then I settle right down. I’d still prefer to be with my people as much as possible, though. You’re my favorite.
I’m currently working on potty training, and I’m getting there! I’m learning to hold it, but I’m still a baby, so it can be a little tricky when my foster mom is away at work. The good news? I’m super smart and very food motivated, so I catch on quickly. I’ve already started learning to sit for treats — even if my wiggly puppy body sometimes gets a little too excited to stay still.
I live with my foster parents and a dog sister, and I love having a dog buddy. We play in the yard, go on adventures, and sometimes she even lets me share her bed for extra snuggles (which I fully take advantage of). I also get really excited when I see other dogs on walks — friends everywhere!
I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give me a little time and some gentle love, and I warm up into the sweetest, snuggliest boy. Because of that, my dream home would be with a patient, loving family who enjoys spending time together and helping me build confidence.
While I adore my dog sister, I’m also perfectly happy entertaining myself with toys when needed – but let’s be honest, I’d much rather be cuddling you.
