I'm ready for my new family!

Ranger

I'm Available

Hi! I’m Ranger! 🐾

My favorite thing about me? Definitely my eyes. They’re kind of like a mood ring – you never know what color you’re going to get. Sometimes they look light brown, sometimes they turn green, and other times I’m out here flashing my baby blues. Pretty cool, right?

When I’m feeling playful, I bounce everywhere. I mean everywhere. Boing, boing, boing – that’s basically my official puppy transportation method. I moved here from Texas with one of my brothers and even got to see snow for the first time! It didn’t stick around very long though. Now it’s already starting to feel like spring. I guess that means more time for playing outside!

Since I’m still just a puppy, I’m working hard on my potty training. I’m doing my best and getting really close to having it figured out! I’m also learning that my kennel is actually a pretty great place. I get treats when I go in, I have cozy blankets and toys, and at night I sleep in there all snuggled up in a fluffy pile of blankets. My favorite part is when my foster family puts a blanket over the kennel – it feels like I’m sleeping in my own little fort.

Right now my main job is learning all my puppy skills. I’m practicing commands like “sit,” “kennel,” and “leave it.” I haven’t been to a training class yet, but I’m pretty sure I would love one. Especially if it includes praise and attention from my humans. I absolutely love attention, and treats are delicious. Honestly, I will work very hard for either one of those things.

I live with two human foster siblings – a 17-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl. I’m not really sure who loves who more, but we’re all pretty big fans of each other. I haven’t met any cats yet, so that’s still a mystery for me. I also live with two Save-A-Bull alumni dogs who are teaching me the ropes. Blanche is the wise older lady of the house. She’s 9 years old and might be a Boxer/Pitbull mix. Then there’s Stanley, the 5-year-old gentleman of the house. He’s probably a Weimaraner/Pitbull mix and is quite a bit taller than Blanche. The best thing about Stanley is that he still plays like a puppy!

I’m definitely the younger, more submissive guy around here – those two are older and much wiser than me. But I absolutely love running, tackling, tumbling, and playing with my dog and human siblings whenever I get the chance.

Some other fun facts about me:
Why are you the very best dog in the whole world?
I play with my whole heart, I cuddle like a professional, and I’ll love you more than anything. That’s my job – and I’m excellent at it!

What would your dream day consist of?
My day would be filled with play and naps. I love a good blanket curled up with someone I love. Maybe an adventure or two.

What general knowledge TV or movie character are you most like and why?
My foster family tells me I look just like Scrappy Doo from the live action Scooby Doo movies. Luckily, our personalities aren’t a match. Ha! I’m not much for reckless behavior and that “lemme at ‘em” attitude.

What are some of your favorite toys?
Stuffed animals to carry around, ropes for tug-of-war victories, and bones to chew very seriously. I love them all!

Play all day or cuddles and snoozes?
I’m a curious, playful puppy who’d happily zoom around for a bit, then curl up for cuddles right after.

What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?
Reuniting with my humans even after a short separation.

Give me a description of your dream forever family.
They’re patient while I’m learning, play with me until I’m tired, and know the best place for me is cuddled up right next to them.

Basically, I’m a bouncy, colorful-eyed puppy who’s learning about the world, one zoomie at a time – and I can’t wait to find my forever family to grow up with. 🐶💙
