Hi, my name is Riccar! I’d say my best features are my soft, floppy ears and silky fur – my foster mom says I feel just like a fluffy bunny. I’m all black except for a cute little white patch on my chest. I love being around people and going anywhere with them – I’m a total extrovert who just wants to be by your side. I make everyone smile and feel happy, especially when I get cuddles (my favorite thing!). My story started when my four brothers, one sister, and I were part of an accidental litter. Our mom was a brindle Pitty and our dad was a Lab, and we were surrendered to Save-A-Bull so we could find our perfect families.
I AM potty trained!! Not a single accident at my foster home. When I need to go, I cry out to let my foster mom know, and she says I’m the best foster puppy she’s ever had at potty training. Gold star for me! 😊
I actually love my kennel – it’s where I sleep all night and where I take my naps during the day. I’m learning how to listen when I’m told “no,” and I’m practicing walking nicely on my leash too. I think I’m pretty good at stopping what I’m doing if someone says “no.” So far, I’ve mastered potty training, snuggling, giving kisses and hugs, and of course, playing tug-of-war. One day I’d love to take puppy classes – I’m a quick learner, I love being loved, and treats don’t hurt either!
Right now, I live with a 14-year-old boy who’s my best buddy – we run and play together all the time. I haven’t met any cats yet, but I do live with my foster brother Duke, who is half Lab and half Hound. He’s way bigger than me, but I hold my own when we play. Most of the time I’m his little shadow, following him everywhere. I’m usually a pretty submissive pup, but I’ve got a sassy, fun side too. When Duke and I are together, you’ll usually find us wrestling in the yard or having a good game of tug-of-war.

Why are you the very best dog in the whole world?
I think I am the best puppy in the whole world because I have so much personality! I know I will make you smile and laugh everyday I am with you. I will love you and snuggle you. My foster mom says I am the sweetest, cutest puppy ever and whoever gets me is the luckiest!
What would your dream day consist of?
My dream day is finding my forever home! Going for a walk, eating food and playing with my new forever family.
What are some of your favorite toys?
Oh I have so many! I have a ton of squeaky toys that I love to make noise with, I have balls that I play with, I am teething so I love the tug-o-war toys and the soft rubber green bone I chew on.
Play all day or cuddles and snoozes?
I am a happy balance of both! I like to play hard and then sleep and cuddle hard.
What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?
I love my food, running around playing and being picked up for kisses and hugs.
