Hi, I’m Bissell! I’m a big softie with a blocky head, chunky body, and giant paws that I haven’t quite grown into yet. My fur is a deep, chocolatey brown with cute white tips on my back toes, a white patch on my neck, and a little white spot right on my chin. My face has the best squishy wrinkles (perfect for smooching!). I’m a playful, friendly boy, but I’ve got a mellow, snuggly side too. Honestly? I’m a bit of a baby. I can go down stairs, but I much prefer to be carried like the royalty I am. 🙂 I love being held and will give you the sweetest kisses in return. I came from a local litter of seven pups, and we all look like clones of each other.
I’m working hard on being a big boy! Potty training is going well – I still have the occasional accident, but I’m learning fast! I’m a good boy in my kennel and let my foster parents know when I need to potty in the night. I settle down quickly once I’m tucked in. I already know “sit” and do it like a champ before meals (especially because I loooove food). I’m learning other tricks, too – treats make the best motivation!
I’ve got a great little foster pack! I live with two humans, a puppy sibling, and two senior doggies. I’m playful with my puppy buddy and very respectful of the older dogs – I know how to mind my manners. I love curling up with all of them for a group nap on the couch. I’ve also been out and about meeting new friends – kids of all ages, other dogs (including a giant 125 lb. Bernese Mountain Dog!), and I’ve done great with everyone! I haven’t met any cats yet, but I think we could be buddies if they’re cool with me.
My dream home? One with love and snuggles! I’m a laidback boy who just wants to hang with my people. I’d enjoy having a kiddo or another pup to play and cuddle with, but I’d be perfectly happy as the center of your world, too. I’m a pro couch snuggler and would love to be your chill sidekick on adventures. I’d totally rock the patio scene – brewery, coffee shop, you name it. Wherever you go, I just want to be by your side.
