Howdy ya’ll! My name is Yo-yo and I travelled up from the Texas countryside solo with a group of siblings in July and am starting to adapt to MN life and all the new scents to explore. I am a very shy girl, and I am still learning how to be a dog from my foster dog sister, so much to learn. My foster mom calls me pumpkin as my coloring reminds her of pumpkin spice and loving disposition with a little sass that matches the sweet and spicy!
I am potty trained and I tend to prefer having my kennel time as sometimes the world can be a bit overwhelming for me. I am quiet unless startled or if I am in the kennel and need to go potty. I am still learning to trust people, so I need time to warm up to humans, although I love dogs. I love treats, toys and bones, and I tend to shred stuffies (they are my favorite). One of my favorite times is when my foster mom is in her garden – as I love the carrots, green beans and strawberries she feeds me when she is harvesting in the morning.
I live with my foster mom, adult foster brother and my big doggy foster sister. I am still getting used to having other people around, but love to be in the mix when the younger adults are over. I haven’t met any smaller kids yet, but I'm not sure they are for me as I have seen them from afar and their sudden movements are scary. I also haven’t been around cats or other small animals, so I'm not sure if I would like to play with them or not.
My perfect furever home would be one with a dog, as I am learning to build my confidence and need the guidance of a dog that one provides. A quieter home would be lovely as I need time to adjust and learn to trust in my new family. Could this be you?
