Hi, my name is Nova. I’m basically a tiny tornado of joy, curiosity, and cuddles! I’m originally from Minneapolis, and I’m settling into my foster home and making myself very comfortable. I came to Save-A-Bull solo – no littermates to steal my snacks or my spotlight – and I’ve been making up for that by becoming the center of attention everywhere I go.
Right now, I’m deep in the puppy boot camp portion of my life, and I’m crushing it. I've already nailed "sit," "down," and "touch" like a pro. We’re working on potty training and walking nicely on a leash (heel is hard when everything is SO interesting), but I’m motivated by two key things: food and snuggles. Basically, if there’s a treat in your hand or a cozy lap nearby, I’m already on my way!
In my foster home, I live with one other dog who is showing me the ropes. I love dog friends – they’re the best for zoomies, wrestling, and occasional synchronized naps. I haven’t met any cats yet (but I’m open-minded), and I’ve met a couple of kids who seemed cool, especially the kids who dropped crumbs. I read the room well and am learning how to play appropriately depending on who I’m with. My favorite thing to do with other dogs? Tug-of-war and pretending I’m faster than I am. 🙂
My dream home? I’m looking for an active person or family who will keep me physically and mentally stimulated – think walks, training sessions, puzzle feeders, and plenty of couch snuggles when it’s time to crash. If there’s another dog in the home, even better! I take cues from confident pups and love having a partner in crime. I’m still a young pup with a lot to learn, so I’d thrive with someone patient, engaged, and ready to fall in love with a little firecracker named Nova!
