Hi, I’m Fire. I’m a five-month-old Pitbull mix puppy with a big heart, a wiggly butt, and a whole lot of love to give! My foster mom says I’m the best mix of sweet, goofy, and cuddly. I love to play, learn new things (especially when treats are involved), and snuggle up with my favorite humans.
I’m still figuring out some puppy things, like potty training, and I’m getting better every day. I’ll cry for a couple of minutes when I first go in my kennel, but I settle pretty quickly. At night I sleep in my kennel but honestly, I’d love to snuggle up with my forever family when I find them.
I’m learning cool tricks like “sit” (almost got it!), “front,” and “off.” My foster mom is also teaching me something called “four on the floor,” which means keeping all my paws on the ground to get a treat. Sounds easy, right? Well, I’m working on it. 🙂 A training class would be super fun for me – I’m really smart and love learning.
I do best when I have another dog sibling to show me the ropes. Right now, I live with a big foster brother (a 70 lb. Staffy) and a wise older foster sister (a 50 lb. Lab mix). I also live with a bird! I think he’s interesting and fun to watch, but don’t worry, I haven’t tried to chase him. I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them.
New people and fast hands can make me a little nervous at first, so I appreciate slow introductions. But once I know you’re a friend, I’ll be your best buddy for life. I live with two human kids (ages 12 and 13) and do great with them!
I’d love an active family that can take me on walks or play with me in a fenced yard. I have some spunk and energy to burn! I also love tug-of-war, chasing a ball, and playing with toys (especially chew toys and soft toys without stuffing – those are my favorite).
If you’re looking for a sweet, fun, snuggly pup to be your adventure buddy and best friend, I might be your guy. When my foster mom lets me out of my kennel, my tail wags so hard my whole body wiggles, I just can’t help it!
