Hiya, my name is Trixie and I can’t wait to meet you. I am part Pitbull and part Australian Cattle Dog. I have amazing eyes, one is blue and one is hazel! My spots (or mud spots as my foster mom says) are called dappeling. So far, I am not a fan of the cold. When I go outside I hop around like a beetle! The good folks at Save-A-Bull rescued me as my first mom got me from a friend of a friend and tried really hard to take care of me, but she was only 16 and had to give me up.
I am mostly comfortable in my kennel as long as the fleece blanket is on the bottom. Sometimes I need a few minutes to completely settle down. My foster mom has taught me to “sit” for little treats. We are working on “wait”, but I get so excited when she puts my kibble down that I can’t contain myself. I am also working on potty training – I have some good days and some days with accidents. My foster mom says water goes right through me, but hey I’m a puppy. 🙂 As long as I go outside within a few minutes of eating and drinking I do alright. I can’t seem to hold it a full two hours yet, but I’m smart and mom says I will catch on soon.
In my foster home I live with some adult humans, a teenage human, and a big fluffy doggo foster brother. I haven’t met any little humans or cats yet. My sharp puppy teeth might be hard for little humans to avoid. I really enjoy my foster brother’s fluffy tail. When I play with him, I think it’s funny that I can hide under the furniture where he can’t get me!
I have a lot of puppy energy, but LOVE to cuddle on someone’s lap for hours. I would do well in a house with other dogs, or as an only dog. I am playful and will probably need a lot of walks and enrichment activities to help me burn off all of the Aussie energy. Could this be you?
