Hello, my name is Shirley. I think my eyes are very attractive! Depending on the light, my eyes look amber and other times blue or green and my back paws look like I dipped my toes in white paint. I'm on the smaller side compared to my sister. Some say small, but I say mighty – there isn't much out there that scares me. 🙂 My sister and I are a couple of local gals. We were saved from a not-so-great situation in southern Minnesota. As soon as we were taken into our foster home, we were given all the comforts we could have hoped for.
I am not perfect, but I am working so hard on potty training. I definitely know how to ring the bell! I am also a champ at kennel training, you won't hear a peep from me until morning when I am ready for breakfast. I sleep in my kennel at night with some cozy blankets and some classical piano music playing. I am working on "sit" and "stay". It's just a bit hard sometimes, I just get so excited. I haven't taken any classes yet, but I would love to be in a room full of other puppies to play with. I love food and affection from my humans. Once I know how to do tricks, I'm sure I'll do anything for a snack and some love!
I live with two human siblings – the girl is 12 and the boy is 14. I think they might love me just as much as I love them! I attend my human sister's track meets and I have met several tiny humans. I am just about as excited to meet them as they are to meet me. I haven't had the opportunity to meet any cats yet. I moved into my foster home with my sister Laverne. I also have two resident dog siblings, both Save-A-Bull alumni. Blanche is a bit of an older lady. She is a 6-year-old Pitbull/Boxer mix, and enjoys her alone time. Stanley is a younger gentleman. He is a 3-year-old, Weimaraner/Pitbull mix, and loves to play with puppies. Lucky me! With my sister I tend to be more dominant and with my two resident dog siblings I tend to be more submissive. We like to race to the same toys, play tug-of-war, and run around chasing after a tennis ball. I love to cuddle up to any dog or human that will let me!

Why are you the very best dog in the whole world?
I am a perfect mix of spunk, sass, play, and love! I love to cuddle up with my human, especially around their neck. We'll see how that goes when I'm full grown. 🙂
What would your dream day consist of?
My dream day would be a whole day with my human! We would wake up and eat, take a nap, play a little, another snooze, and then eat again. Repeat as necessary until bedtime.
What general knowledge TV or movie character are you most like and why?
I'm like Shriley, from the old TV show Laverne and Shirley. I'm sweet, but definitely stand up for myself when I need to.
What are some of your favorite toys?
I love bones and tennis balls. Honestly, I'm not too picky, all toys are pretty great!
Play all day or cuddles and snoozes?
I usually like and even mix of cuddles and snoozes. Realistically, it's probably a little heavier on the snooze side. A girl needs her beauty sleep!
What makes your body wiggle and your tail wag harder than anything?
I can't contain my wiggles when my humans come home or get me from my kennel. Same goes for waiting for my food. I love food so much that I might even throw in a little bark to make you move faster!

I need someone who is like me. Someone who wants to play and be active, but also makes just as much time for some blankets and cuddles. I would love to meet you!
